PRESSURE DROP LOU PEARL, 67: New York's original Native American pot-smoking cowboy. A glaucoma sufferer, Lou also enjoys the odd marijuana cigarette to ease the arthritis in his arms exacerbated by playing on the swings in Washington Square Park's famous playground. Lou's a kid at heart and has a particular kinship with Morris, whom he often advises about such things as collapsing marriages, the spirit world and jazz records. Lou prefers to "wake and bake" rather than taking his treatment exclusively during the later hours in the day. |
